Abstract

This overview of the thrillers shot by the American film-maker David Fincher aims to discover in them a unitary, perhaps unplanned gaze, that arises from the conception of all of them as artistic precision mechanisms that break away with the reproductive texture of that which has been filmed, with the old fashioned Bazinian concept of image. This violation, born from perfectionism, radiates a different gaze from the other side of reality, from the other side of the looking glass.
