Abstract

Lacasinegra emerges as a response to a rigid movie industry in which we could not find space to place works with a heterogeneous nature in front of a more traditional filmmaking model. The movie format (film piece running over 90-120 minutes projected in a commercial cinema), as well as the production and distribution models of the film industry, seem obsolete for us or insufficient to accommodate all the movements that have been appearing spontaneously on the Internet. In this article, we will explain what our position is on a new audiovisual paradigm in the ways of filming reality as well as the possible uses that have appeared with the Internet. Throughout a tour of some of our projects, we will also show how the film practices can become a political weapon against the reality around us, even beyond the filmmaking field.
